Hooke’s Law | Formula

Hook’s Law Statement:

Stress is directly proportional to the strain  until load on material is within its elastic limit.

Mathematically,

Stress ∞ Strain

Stress = A constant x strain

\(frac{Stress}{Strain}= Constant\)

Constant is represented by E & is known as Young’s Modulus.

Hook’s Law Formula

\(frac{Stress}{Strain}= E\)

[frac{f}{e}=E]
